It’s all happening — The winning team from the March hackathon, Tech Garage, are working to realize their winning idea: To develop an application which connects food donors (like restaurants caterers, etc.) with local soup kitchens to provide free food to the hungry in our community.
Here’s their plan…
· They’re currently developing specifications and writing software with the goal of having a fairly complete version of their app for testing by the middle of the summer.
· They’d like to roll-out the product in Palm Beach County then to go to market and support the product by the end of summer.
· They’ll then receive feedback on user testing and user cases to improve the app and figure out if businesses are willing to sign up and pay for the service.
· If market conditions are favorable, they plan to focus on team expansion and partnering with a larger entity to expand in other markets.
